Join us for this NEW classroom session with hands-on transceiver use, demonstrations, discussions and video. Emphasis is on avalanche transceivers and new rescue techniques. Class will start with a review on avalanche accidents, how to prevent getting caught, the nine different types of avalanches and reading into an avalanche forecasts and will progress to new, more advanced avalanche rescue techniques and transceiver use. Students should bring their personal avalanche gear to class (transceiver, shovel, probe, pack, airbags).
This class will be held at the TCSAR Hangar on Thursday, January 25th from 5:30 - 9:00pm. Space is limited - sign up in advance to secure your spot!
